How to dress a newborn at home

How to dress a newborn according to the room temperature 🤍

In the first days of life, newborns still have difficulty regulating their body temperature. Therefore, choosing the right clothing for the ambient temperature is essential to ensure comfort, safety, and a peaceful sleep.

We created this guide especially for babies from 0 to 30 days old ✨

☀️ ABOVE 25ºC

In warmer environments, the ideal is to keep the baby comfortable without too many clothes. A long-sleeve bodysuit and light pants are usually enough to protect the delicate skin of the newborn without causing overheating.

🌿 BETWEEN 20ºC AND 25ºC

This is usually a comfortable temperature for newborns. In this range, we recommend an undershirt bodysuit, pants, and a babygrow. The different layers help maintain a stable temperature throughout the day and during sleep.

🕊️ BETWEEN 15ºC AND 20ºC

When the temperature drops a bit more, it is important to increase the baby's coziness. Besides the bodysuit, pants, and babygrow, we also recommend a sleeping bag, especially during the night or for smaller babies in the first weeks.

🏡 BELOW 15ºC

In these cases, more important than adding too many layers of clothing is properly warming the environment. The room should maintain a comfortable and stable temperature to prevent the baby from getting too cold during sleep.

✨ Remember:

Every baby is unique. Always check the temperature of the baby's neck and chest to understand if they are comfortable.
